December, 2003 Electronic Update on IMSA
Issues
Dear IMSA
Friends:
The
old year is gone! The New Year is upon us! We hope your 2003
was as satisfying and productive as ours. After some intensive
work on the IMSA Assessment Standards Committee during the
first quarter, we settled down to retooling our methodology
and assessment process to meet the mandatory sampling requirements
and other testing and documentation standards codified in
the IMSA Assessment Manual.
The result has been a better process for us and for our clients.
We are very pleased to have earned the confidence of several
new client companies as we have moved ahead into the third
cycle of IMSA assessments. The challenges have been bracing,
but our results very satisfying. We are on schedule to complete
the independent assessments of eight companies during the
first quarter of 2004 and five during the second. Our capacity
is being increased by the volunteering of seven of our team
members to upgrade their credentials and become Qualified
Independent Assessors or Associate Assessors. See our article
below and in the fourth quarter edition of our Excelsior newsletter.
Like you,
we are looking forward to an active and productive year in
2004. As always, we value you as clients, colleagues and co-workers
in this grand enterprise of building integrity into our business
processes and working with you all to meet or exceed the rigorous
IMSA standards that are so important to continuing success
for our industry.
New
Location, New Phone Numbers, Same Great Service, Same Great
IMSA Expertise!
We've
moved to new and larger quarter in Alachua, FL, about 15 miles
from our former site in Gainesville. Our new address is 17220
NW 78th Avenue, Alachua, FL 32615. Our new phone numbers are
386-462-1074, fax 1075. Our email remains the same, and we
will continue to monitor the voice mails we get on our old
number (352-375-4111) for six months or so.
Fourth
Quarter Excelsior is on the Way
As
a result of our move, our production process was slowed a
bit, and our 4th Quarter newsletter won't hit the streets
until the second week in January. Some of the features are:
- We Want YOU to Be Ready! (to meet IMSA's Mandatory Sampling
Requirements), a "How-To" article for companies on NEW BUSINESS
CONSISTENT USE TESTING.
- Seven Kalis IMSA Team Members Upgrading IMSA Credentials:
A fuller look at some of our top people who will be working
with you in 2004 and beyond.
- IMSA Recognition by Regulators: An update on IMSA's progress
in getting buy-in from an important regulator.
- Babushkas: A human-interest story on Russian Orthodox
Christmas tradition.
Don't miss it!

week, so be ready. The first is on persistency or lapse experience,
and the second on escheatment. We ask as many of you as possible
to respond to these short surveys that we field free of charge

Through
the Year

God be
with you in the Springtime
When the violets unfold, And the buttercups and cowslips
Fill the fields with yellow gold;
In the time of apple blossoms, When the happy bluebirds sing,
Filling all the world with gladness - God be with you in the
Spring!
God be
with you in the Summer, When the sweet June roses blow,
When the bobolinks are laughing And the brooks with music
flow; When the fields are white with daisies
And the days are glad and long - God be with you in the Summer,
Filling all your world with song.

God be
with you in the Autumn, When the birds and flowers have fled,
And along the woodland pathways
Leaves are falling, gold and red; When the Summer lies behind
you,
In the evening of the year - God be with you in the Autumn,
Then to fill your heart with cheer.

God be
with you in the Winter, When the snow lies deep and white,
When the sleeping fields are silent
And the stars gleam cold and bright.
When the hand and heart are tired
With life's long and weary quest - God be with you in the
Winter, Just to guide you into rest.
- Julian
S. Cutler -

Happy
New Year to all of you. May 2004 not only be merry and bright,
but may it be the best year you've every had!
Ken Kalis
Only
believe.
